The National Sport Academy was established in 1995 as a unique and specialized learning environment within the public high school setting. Equestrian was introduced in 2005.
In 2006, the National Sport Academy created the FlexSports Program to accommodate individual and team sport athletes wanting to create better balance between athletic and academic pursuits.
Past and present FlexSports student athletes compete in the following sports: equestrian, swimming, synchronized swimming, diving, tennis, track & field, figure skating, cycling, ringette, volleyball, rowing, triathlon, downhill ski racing, softball and soccer.
National Sport Academy FlexSports student athletes are self-disciplined and self-motivated in both academics and athletics.
