Lacrosse: Summer Camp
Lacrosse: School Program
The National Sport Academy was established in 1995 as a unique and specialized learning environment within the public school setting; the NSA Lacrosse Program was established in 2006.
-
Periodized sport training is designed to work in harmony with the demand of student athletes’ competitive training and sport schedules.
-
There are three components to the National Sport Academy Lacrosse Program: Sport Specific Training (field and box lacrosse), Coaching & Leadership and Strength & Conditioning.
- All program components are scheduled during the school day to enhance the student athletes’ competitive sport training schedules and academic demands; all National Sport Academy lacrosse student athletes compete on their regular field or box lacrosse team.

Strength & Conditioning Training
- In-season and off-season training plans are designed for today’s serious lacrosse athletes. The National Sport Academy maximizes the effectiveness of all lacrosse specific energy systems focusing on strength, power, agility and cardiovascular training.

- Currently, National Sport Academy lacrosse student athletes train at Southland Leisure Centre and Central Memorial High School.
Sport Specific Training
- Sport training sessions are innovative and focus on individual needs. Athletes are challenged in a positive and competitive environment.
- Technical Development focuses on establishing composure, confidence and creativity specific to each player’s position:
Box Lacrosse: Offence, Transition, Defense and Goaltender.
Field Lacrosse: Attack, Midfield, Defense, Long–pole and Goaltender.
